COMMUNITY BANKING RETURNS
The local area has an established history of supporting locally owned and managed financial institutions to better serve our residents and the business community. As these entities have become branches of larger institutions, a group of local business leaders recognized the opportunity to establish a new, publicly traded community bank focused on local residents, businesses and organizations. After many months of analysis and planning, an organizing group was formed to raise the seed capital necessary while several local business leaders and industry professionals stepped forward to offer their services in serving on the Board of Directors of the new institution. While the history of the bank is short, the experience of the people behind it is extensive with five of the nine founding directors having previous experience as directors of other Community Banks in the area.
"DO BUSINESS LOCALLY"
Our bank's motto says a lot about why we opened a new community bank focused on our primary market areas of La Habra, La Habra Heights, Santa Fe Springs, Whittier and adjacent communities. Friendly Hills Bank is dedicated to promoting the concept of bringing local businesses, professionals, residents and organizations together for the economic and social benefit of our communities. We take great pride in being involved in many aspects of our local communities and view the successful development of our bank as an instrument to encourage and support opportunities which will foster greater economic activity in the communities we serve.
At Friendly Hills Bank we take pride in our local communities and the organizations they support. If you are new to the area or considering a re-location for yourself or your business please contact us or one of the following resources:
